How do I get a free .cam domain name?
It's very simple, you just have to register at https://model.cam/signup
Complete the steps to create your free website and domain name in .CAM
A confirmation email will be sent to you at the end of the process of creating your account. You will need to confirm receipt of this notification by clicking on the link in the email.
We also ask that you enter and confirm your telephone number, as well as your full contact details. The domain name is registered under your name, which is why you need to enter accurate information!
Why is Model.CAM free?
Model.CAM offers free communication tools to increase your visibility on the Internet. We not only offer the latest communication web tools but also make them as widely accessible as possible!
In partnership with the .CAM domain manager, Model.CAM offers you a personal domain to promote the .CAM extension through your website.

Why do I need to provide my personal information?
The .CAM domain name that we offer is submitted on your behalf with a specialized organization to protect it and we therefore need your personal information (last name, first name, address, email and phone number).
Model.CAM offers a complete service allowing you to create a website reflecting who you truly are. You can also share your social network content and communicate with your loved ones. So we ask that you closely monitor the quality of the content that you publish on your .cam website in order to portray yourself in the best light possible. Legally, you are responsible for the content that you publish on your personal website.

How do I create my domain?
Model.CAM is a service that offers you the possibility to create your own personal website for free with the .CAM extension. You can create your domain name and .CAM website in just a few seconds:
1 - Enter your first and last name
2 - Select your .CAM domain name among our proposals
3 - Fill in the legal information for registering your domain name.
4 - Customize your website and enter your content (texts, photos, videos, social networks, etc)
Pending validation of your domain by our moderation department, your .CAM website is accessible at the following address: mydomain.Model.CAM.
Which domain name should I choose?
When creating your account, we will offer you several domain .CAM names based on your first and last name. You can also freely choose your domain name. This must include at least 8 characters.
Warning: this is a personal domain name composed of your first and last name. We deny any domain registration in connection with a registered trademark or containing unauthorized words or terms.
Confirm the reservation of your domain
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires that following information be provided for any new registrations: Last name, First name, Full address, Country, Mobile phone and Email address
How long does it take to validate your domain name?
After reserving your .cam domain name, our moderation department will create and activate your domain within 24 hours (subject to compliance with the Terms of Use)
Why was my domain refused?
Your domain name must be based exclusively on your first and last name (or nickname). Our moderation service can at any time reject your request if the domain does not meet these criteria. You will be prompted to change your domain name and re-submit your request.
If the domain is available, it can be acquired through our domain.cam service
Where can I find information about the status of my domain?
From the editor of your Model.CAM space,
click My account > Your domain status
Am I the owner of my domain?
Model.CAM sponsors the hosting of your personal .cam page and the associated domain. To receive the free renewal of your .cam domain, certain conditions must be met (Minimum traffic of x visits per month excluding crawlers, content updates and relevance, maintaining connections to your social networks).
You become the owner of the .cam domain as soon as our moderation department approves your domain. An email notifying you of the domain's approval will be sent to you.
Find the status of your .cam domain in your Model.CAM editor space, click My account > Your domain status
The domain name is registered under your name. It is therefore important to ensure that your personal information is accurate.
You are responsible for the content posted on your personal website.
Why do I need to confirm a mobile phone number?
Your account security is of upmost importance to Model.CAM. To secure and confirm your account, you must enter your phone number. You will receive a code by SMS to validate this phone number.
Can I change the domain name after validation by the moderation team?
This action is not allowed.
But you can buy the domain of your choice from our www.domain.cam department at any time.
How do I sign in to Model.CAM account?
You can log in to your Model.CAM account at the following address model.cam/signup/login
Enter your login details (email) and password and sign in; You will be automatically redirected to your .cam domain in edit mode.
I can’t connect
If you have lost or forgotten your password, go to your account login page and click Parolă pierdută.
Follow the steps to reset your password. A password reset link will be sent to the e-mail account registered in your my.cam account.
Then go back to the login page and sign in with the new password.
How do I change my password?

How do I close Model.CAM account?
If you would like to close your Model.CAM account, you must submit a request to our moderation team at contact@model.cam.
Create your website
Add your content
On your customization page, you have tools allowing you to add content belonging to you. You can add or edit your introduction, home page banner, avatar, contact information or location at any time.
What is the purpose of the Edit mode?
The Edit mode allows you to access 3 main sections from your .cam domain (you need to be logged into your account):
Website editor: this is where you find all the features to:
- add content and customize your personal Model.CAM site: description of your profile, adding multimedia content (photos, videos ...)
- modify the order of appearance of the elements of your page
- customize the design of your personal .cam site.
Social networks: allows you to connect all of your social networks to your personal .cam website, so all your content is in one place.
Communicate: groups together all the Model.CAM communication features. You can communicate with all your contacts in your account, hold videoconferences and publish live videos.
Connect your social networks
You can enrich your content by connecting all of your social networks. On your customization page, click on the desired social network:
- if you are already logged in to the social network, just accept the Model.CAM application.
- if you are not already logged in to the social network, you must first enter your social network login details and then allow the Model.CAM application to access your publications. The latest content on your social network will automatically be posted on your page.
Repeat the same operation for each social network you want to view.
Publish your content
Your content is automatically published after saving the added or modified content. No further action is required.
Update your content
To update your content, go to your space from your domain, sign in to your account.
In the edit menu on the right of your page, fill in or modify and save the various content modules offered.

From the Edit mode:
Website Editor > Introduction & Biography
Import your profile photo, your page header, then enter a headline and a short introduction. Your page will be updated automatically.
Contact form
From the Edit mode:
Website Editor > Content
Tick the box to show your contact form on your personal .cam page
What are the customization features of my website?
From the Edit mode of your personal Model.CAM site, you have the following features:
- Profile Content (Avatar, header, introduction, contact details etc)
- Media Galleries (photos and videos)
- Modules (Social networks, Galleries, RSS feeds, Links, Texts...)
What is the purpose of the elements?
The elements offer you additional features to enrich your personal page with content, so your .cam page can truly reflect who you are.

Why should I connect my social networks to my personal .cam site?
The Social Hub is the essential tool to centralize all your social network content. Accentuate your presence on the Internet and give meaning to your personal .cam site.

How can I connect my social networks on my personal .cam site?
From the Edit mode:
Social Networks > Content
Drag the cursor over the social network you want to connect to. A social network login window will open automatically and prompt you to log in to the social network with your login details. If you are already logged in, the window will simply ask you to agree to share your content with Model.CAM, click accept. Close the window. Your page has now added the posts from your social network, follow the same steps for other social networks.
What social networks can I connect to my web .cam site?
Find all the social networks available in the Edit mode:
Social Networks > Content
Why doesn’t all my social network content appear on my personal .cam site?
Your Model.CAM personal page only displays the public posts from your social networks. If some posts don’t show up, check if they have been published with a private status.
How do I disconnect my social networks from Model.CAM?
From the Edit mode:
Social Networks > Content
Drag the cursor to the left of the social network you want to disconnect from.
Add a photo or a photo gallery
From the Edit Menu:
Create > Content
Add a video or a video gallery
From the Edit Menu:
Create > Content
Add new RSS feed
From the Edit mode:
Website editor > Content > Add Item > RSS Feeds
Copy the URL of the RSS feed you want to display on your page then click Save your Page
Add a Google Map
From the Edit mode:
Website editor > Content > Footer > Option: Google Map
Add a hyperlink
From the Edit Menu:
Create > Content > Add item > Links
Add text content
From the Edit Menu:
Create > Content > Text
Enable or disable a module
From the Edit Menu:

Drag the cursor to the left of the module you want to disable.
Can I install google analytics on my web .cam site?
From the Edit mode:
Website editor > Options > Option: Google Analytics
Please enter your Google Analytics tracking code (ex. UA-00000000-0), and then save.

If you find illegal or unethical content, please report it to the Model.CAM moderation department using our contact form. Our team will analyze the content. If it does not respect our terms of service, the content will be deleted.
